NEC, a prominent tech company based in Japan, wanted more visibility on the search engines, so they hired us to give them recommendations for optimizing their site.
Their site had good site architecture and organization, but it was not optimized for top keywords.
We did keyword research to find the top keywords they were not targeting. Then, we suggested key pages where they could insert the keywords.
We also looked at every page on their site to make sure each page had relevant keywords. Several of their pages where sparse on text so we wrote paragraphs filled with keywords for those pages.
We advised them to take advantage of anchor text by using descriptive terms in their internal links. This tactic improved their rankings and made their site easier to navigate.
Many of their meta description tags were duplicates so we created unique descriptions tags that would attract search engine users. Also, we optimized their title tags by researching high volume search terms related to their company.
We put all our findings in a keyword research report. NEC implemented our ideas in the report and their traffic from search engines grew as a result.
